Templates
Invoice templates that look like you
Prints.ink has three invoice templates: Classic, Modern and Minimal. Each holds the same details, so choosing one is about tone, not features. Here is how they differ and how to set one up.
Free editing and partial preview. Full PDFs and saved records require $4.99/month Pro.
The three templates, side by side
Classic
Warm white, serif · Illustrative template preview
Writers, consultants, photographers and anyone whose work is personal. The serif heading feels like letterhead and reads well printed.
Modern
Pale sage header · Illustrative template preview
Studios, designers and small shops that want a touch of colour. The tinted header separates your details from the line items at a glance.
Minimal
Monochrome, quiet · Illustrative template preview
Developers, trades and repeat clients who want the numbers first. Monochrome keeps it calm and photocopies cleanly.
Which one fits your work
If you are unsure, start with the template that matches how you already present yourself. A website with serif type and soft photography pairs naturally with Classic. A brand with a signature colour sits comfortably beside Modern. If your clients mostly care about the total and the due date, Minimal gets out of the way.
You can switch templates in the editor at any point. Your business details, client and line items stay where they are, so it is easy to compare all three on the same invoice before deciding.
Setting up an invoice template
- 1
Open the invoice editor
Go to Create Invoice. There is nothing to install and no account needed to begin.
- 2
Pick Classic, Modern or Minimal
Choose a template and keep an eye on the preview as you fill it in.
- 3
Add business and client details
Your name or business, contact details, and who the invoice is for.
- 4
List the work and set a due date
Description, quantity and rate for each line. Totals calculate as you type.
